What's your musical origin story?

As an avid endurance runner and cyclist, I would fuel my workout with songs from my 20’s in the Tokyo underground scene. After watching a few video’s of children mixing on simple controllers – and thought to myself – why not suck at something new ? I was also looking for a way to connect to people on a different level since I’m mostly an introvert and just wanted to remember the good vibes in Rave culture in Asia. I got hooked and never looked back.

What's your favorite thing about being a DJ?

Creating an amazing vibe that transcends human frailty.

What's your go-to track to get the party started?

There is no go-to track – it always depends on the people, venue, and mood.

DJ’in at the EDC RV camping spot and sharing a moment with strangers.

What's your favorite genre to spin, and why?

Trance – it’s just uplifting and makes me want to dance.

If you could collaborate with any artist (living or dead), who would it be?

David Forbes – he just hits it hard and right for me.

What's your secret weapon track that always gets a great response?

Big, long buildup, followed by a nasty drop

What's one piece of advice you'd give to aspiring DJs?

1 hour per day, consistently – and it’s ok to learn from other people. We all do.
