Funky House, Tech House, Garage, Trance and Techno
I got into house music back in the early 90's and the first time I went clubbing to a house night I was lucky enough to get up close to the dj and see him mixing two pieces of vinyl together. I'd never seen this before and I was fascinated, shortly after this I bought a pair of SL1210 turntables, practiced a lot in my bedroom and I'm still enjoying mixing tunes to this day
Just beat mixing tracks tracks as tight as I can to be honest and hopefully getting good feedback. If the crowd like what they hear then it inspires me to keep going
It really depends on the party or the vibe but an absolute classic has got to be Offshore 'Chicane
Dropping an absolute banger at a rave at Lydd Aerodrome on the south coast of England in 98 and seeing every persons arms go up in the air as soon as the beat kicked in. Priceless.
Techouse and Techno.. Its just fun to mix, fast, sometimes funky and always full of energy
Let me think about that.
Honest answer I don't really have one. I just play freestyle and see where it takes me most of the time
Just enjoy it, be yourself, practice, practice and your style will find you.
