"I started as a musician 1st, and quickly progressed into a love for dance music during the Dance craze that was the 90's. friends had Pirate Radio stations around London and for me it was about choosing the right one! Radio Active was my 1st Pirate station. We carried on with that name for a bit till we change in 1991 to Chicago fm with the like of MC Neat & Mystic dub plate master Matt pumping out the UK street sounds such as the Heartless Kru, Tina Moore, Matt Jam Lamont, MK and many more. Moving through the decade I played on many more stations such as M.A.G.I.C fm, interface (the worlds 1st online pirate Radio station) ending up on House fm & Garage City."
"If you ask me now what I like it would be the freedom you get with the technology available today. Just the ability to drill stems, cut beats snip samples all at the touch of a few buttons makes Dj'ing for me a newer play ground to play in."
"As an old track I suppose 187 Lockdown is my go to floor filler. I remember dropping it at The Cross in Kings x way back in the 90's when it came out. it seemed like the track was played all night by all the dj's playing.....Plus it depends on the night"
"Oh I remember it well..............The year was 1999 and I was Bringing the Estonians into the new millennium in Tallin, There were around 3500/4000 in the stadium (yes Stadium). So the plan was to put on a track that sounded like and old WWII air raid siren at 00:00. So picture this its seconds to go before new year I put the vinle on and lets go.............They were cheering like you would'nt believe, clapping and pointing at me I thought wicked i'll go front of stage, it was only then I realised there was a massive fire works display going on behind me, huge it was...........so here's me..........bowing and thanking them all for lovin the set and it was the fireworks they were cheering..........I styled it out and continued LOL"
"Favourite genre to spin? easy, would have to be Afro house, Deep House & Soulful are my wheel house really. House, House, House baby!"
"Collaborations. Well let me see: Look I'm a musician 1st dj second so my 1st would be Dave Gilmore. This guy and his beautiful way of making the guitar sing is the very reason I started playing guitar. 2nd Person or persons I would on a dj'ing level would be David Morales & Kerri Chandler"
"Good question. Heartbeat (Extended Mix, Afro house mix) by David Morales"
"My advise to any new up & coming Dj is this; Don't chase the dance floor the dance floor will come to you! what I mean by that is you cant please everybody out there so don't try. Find your inner style & beat, flavour, what ever you want to call it and make it your passion. If you love the sound you are playing the people who love it will fill your dance floor"
