Join us for DJ shows and live gigs this Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, where we’ll also explore exciting aspects of music production.
Multi Genre DJ shows bring together diverse styles of music, creating an exciting atmosphere for live gigs and enhancing the art of music production.
As a kid, I tried playing every instrument from the piano, violin, guitar, recorder, and saxophone. Although I didn't stick with them, music has always been a huge part of my life. I got absolutely hooked on mixing when I played on my friend's FLX4 for the first time last year, which sparked my interest in DJ shows. This year, I have also started to learn music production, aiming to enhance my skills for live gigs and hoping to release my first song by April 2026.
How playing the music I love during my DJ shows connects me with people, and how I can express myself through my track selection at live gigs and in my music production.
It really depends on the party! Recently, during my live gigs, I've been focusing on creating captivating sunset scenes. Tracks like "You and Me" (Rivo) or "I Adore You" (Hugel) get great reactions. But when I want to elevate the energy, I'll bring out a classic track like "Don't You Worry Child" (Swedish House Mafia) or a remix of a popular song—perfect for the vibe in my DJ shows and my music production!
The first time I played a live gig was for a group of friends at a BBQ, and even surrounded by friends I was crazy nervous, especially because some of my other friends are very experienced DJs. Despite the hiccups along the way, everyone was vibing so much to the music, and afterwards, they wanted to talk to me about the set and my journey into music production. It was such a cool experience!
House music really captivates me with its diverse energy levels. I personally enjoy long mixes and transitions, which come more naturally to house music. It's also a perfect fit for DJ shows and live gigs, enhancing the overall experience in music production.
For fun, I'd go for Fall Out Boy since I've been leaning back into pop punk a lot lately. For learning, I admire artists like Benny Blanco, Diplo, and KSHMR. The list is super long, to be honest, as I have so much to learn about music production and really respect the craft of those who perform at DJ shows and live gigs!
For super hype vibes at DJ shows and live gigs, check out One More Time (Daft Punk) for an unforgettable music production experience.
For those of you considering diving into DJ shows and live gigs, just start and go for it! Keep pushing through even when it gets challenging. And most importantly, remember to have fun – we're in it for the love of music production, and it's essential not to lose sight of that.
